Strange Things are Afoot at the Circle K
One month ago I teased you with some impending site news that I was very excited to share with our readers. Today is finally that day so please excuse the lack of usual snark and marginally funny posts. As the loyal DSB Army knows our posts here are a mix between the general sports world and Central Pennsylvania specific. While we hope both audiences appreciate the humor or insight in every post, we realize that a segment of our readers don't care about what happens locally in the midstate.
Because of this, I'm proud to let you know that today we are officially launching a new website, The Sports 'Burger, that will celebrate and discuss the sports teams and individuals in and around the Central Pennsylvania area. If you go over there now, you'll see all of our Central PA-specific posts that were originally posted here along with an old DSB favorite of mine that we're resurrecting for the new site. Every weekday morning we'll post a new edition of The Snooze Button with short recaps of the previous night's games, links to sports stories of local interest, and all the goodness you can fit into the first 9 minutes of your day.
You may be asking yourself what this means for Daddy's Sugar Ball. Although early on we'll cross-post a lot of articles, our goal is to have two completely separate sites going under the DSB Network. So for those of you who come here to find Harrisburg Senators info or City Islanders' insight you'll definitely want to add The Sports 'Burger to your favorites since that's its new home. For those that may care very little about what happens in our local neck of the woods keep your mouse right here at DSB (although we sure would like it if you check us out from time to time over at the new website).
It also means we are going to be a little more selective in what we post here at DSB. I'd rather post only a couple of times a week if they're perceptive or funny instead of trying to come up with something every single weekday. Now, I'd hope the more writers we are able to bring onto the staff the better chance we have of filling your day with gooey DSB goodness.
