Today in Central PA Sports History - 2002

Eight years ago today, Hersheypark Stadium hosted the first Major League Lacrosse regular season game played at a neutral site as the Rochester Rattlers decisively defeated their National Division rivals, the New Jersey Pride, 15-7.

Major League Lacrosse executive director Matthew Pace was enthusiastic about the league's first foray into Chocolatetown which was scheduled to gain some exposure for lacrosse in the midstate area by the league and members of the District 3 high school league.
