Today in Central PA Sports History - 1995

April 22, 1995

On this date fifteen years ago, the New York Jets used the 9th overall selection in the 1995 draft to select midstate product Kyle Brady.  The former Cedar Cliff Colt was the Gatorade Pennsylvania Player of the Year and a Parade Magazine All-America selection his senior year of high school.  From there, Brady embarked on a successful career at Penn State where he was a consensus All-American as a senior and was the school's seventh-ranked receiver in history at the time of his graduation.

Brady went onto a durable 13-year career playing for the Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New England Patriots where he accumulated 343 receptions for 3,519 yards before his retirement in 2008.

Thanks for coming and suckling Daddy's Sugar Ball...
