The Snooze Button: 3/8
Every morning, DSB will give you a post entitled The Snooze Button. Some sites will give you a Wake-Up Call or The Morning Meat...instead we give you just enough to occupy the first 9 minutes of your day.
Quote o' the Day
"As you all know by now, this is the 51st annual Academy Awards. Two hours of sparkling entertainment spread out over a four-hour show." - Host Johnny Carson, Academy Award ceremony 1979

Yesterday's Winner: Kathryn Bigelow and The Hurt Locker
Bigelow bested her ex-husband, James Cameron, on the way to becoming the first woman to win an Academy Award for Directing. The Hurt Locker also beat out Avatar and eight other films to win the night's Best Picture award. While it wasn't the best picture I saw last year, I'm happy it beat that egomaniac Cameron's retelling of Pocohantas.
Weekend's Winners: Hershey Bears
Over the weekend, the Bears beat the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Saturday and the Adirondack Phantoms on Sunday to run their home winning streak to 23 games. With these historical wins, Hershey set the record for the longest home winning streak in pro hockey history as they topped the previous record held by the 1965-66 Muskegon Mohawks. The victory also put the Bears over the 100 point mark on the season.
Song to Wake Up to:
Thanks for coming and suckling Daddy's Sugar Ball...
