The Snooze Button: 2/15
Every morning, DSB will give you a post entitled The Snooze Button. Some sites will give you a Wake-Up Call or The Morning Meat...instead we give you just enough to occupy the first 9 minutes of your day.
Link and Pic o' the Day
The #1 reason to watch Parks and Recreation is Nick Offerman's portrayal of the department head, Ron Swanson. And unbeknown to me he's been married to Megan Mullally (Will & Grace's Karen Walker) since 2003. Here's a great New York Magazine Q&A with the couple.
Weekend's Losers: Jon Gosselin & Kevin Smith
Days after his media whore ex-girlfriend Hailey Glassman said his penis was "tiny, tiny, tiny", Gosselin's media whore ex-wife Kate characterized it more as "stubby". Supposedly through the course of their 10-year marriage, Kate would joke with friends and family about Jon's shortcomings and mock his lack of size to his face.
Director Kevin Smith was kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight from Oakland to Burbank on Saturday because of his girth. According to Smith, the captain booted him after he was deemed a "safety risk". Smith ranted on Twitter, "I know I'm fat, but was Captain Leysath really justified in throwing me off a flight for which I was already seated? Again: I'm way fat... But I'm not THERE just yet. But if I am, why wait til my bag is up, and I'm seated WITH ARM RESTS DOWN." Southwest offered Smith a $100 voucher as an apology, but he refused. After eventually landing on another flight, Smith joked, "I've landed in Burbank. Don't worry: wall of the plane was opened & I was airlifted out while Richard Simmons supervised."
