The Snooze Button: 2/1

Every morning, DSB will give you a post entitled The Snooze Button.  Some sites will give you a Wake-Up Call or The Morning Meat...instead we give you just enough to occupy the first 9 minutes of your day.

At some point, every great thing was just a work in progress. (via The Daily Bunch

Yesterday's Winner: Taylor Swift & Beyonce

Last night, the ladies of music were the big winners at this year's Grammy Awards. Beyonce took home a record 6 awards including Song of the Year for her hit, "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)". She also had a winning, elaborate performance of "If I Were a Boy" and a cover of Alanis Morrisette's "You Oughta Know". Swift also collected a bounty of four awards including Album of the year for her "Fearless", but was crucified in the blogosphere and on Twitter for her miserable off-key duets with Stevie Nicks.

Yesterday's Loser: Rex Ryan

Here at The Snooze Button there is a fine line between winners and losers...On Saturday night, the Jets' coach attended the Strikeforce MMA fight card in Miami and flipped off Dolphin fans as he told the audience that the Jets were coming to beat them twice next year. That should have made him a winner...instead on Sunday he apologized and earned the day's loser, "It was stupid and inappropriate. I wouldn’t accept that type of behavior from one of the coaches or players and it’s unacceptable from me. I apologize to the Jets organization, the National Football League and NFL fans everywhere."
