The Snooze Button: 1/30
Every morning, DSB will give you a post entitled The Snooze Button. Some sites will give you a Wake-Up Call or The Morning Meat...instead we give you just enough to occupy the first 9 minutes of your day.
Yesterday's Winner: Kurt Warner
After an improbable storybook career, Kurt Warner retired yesterday. The two-time league MVP turned around two franchises and by all accounts seems to be a lock for the Hall of Fame. I don't know if I'd go that far since he really only had 5 great seasons, but his postseason performances are legendary as he owns the best three passing days in the history of the Super Bowl.
Yesterday's Loser: Scott McCarron
McCarron went on the offensive yesterday insisting that Phil Mickelson (and anyone using the Ping Eye2 wedge) was cheating. Even though there is a loophole in the USGA rules that allow for their use if the club was manufactured before April 1, 1990, McCarron insists it is cheating and is appalled that Mickelson is carrying the club as part of his bag. Phil is in compliance with the rules, and McCarron needs to shut his mouth. John Daly has been using the Ping Eye2 wedges and they haven't helped him as he's missed the cut in each tournament so far.

Here's an interesting story about the beginnings of Under Armour (via our friends at Lacrosse All-Stars)
